Save the Whales!

As many of you guys would have heard about Japan has set out to hunt whales in the name of research. Everybody knows that it is for consumption that they are hunting. Being in Australia and also recently acquired my diving licence in Australia, I can truly understand the passion that Australians have for whale watching. Whales are truly the gentle giants of the sea. They are also very smart creatures.

It is sad that Humpback whales are endangered. If the hunting continues there will not be any for our grandchildren to watch.

Another interesting fact is about Migaloo, the only documented albino humpback whale. Australians take pride in this special whale. Its sightings are recorded in the following website.

Important lesson for women

A Woman was out golfing one day when she hit the ball into the woods.

She went into the woods to look for it and found a frog in a trap.

The frog said to her, "If you release me from this trap, I will grant you three wishes."

The woman freed the frog, and the frog said, "Thank you, but I failed to mention that there was a condition to your wishes.

Whatever you wish for, your husband will get times ten!"

The woman said, "That's okay."

For her first wish, she wanted to be the most beautiful woman in the world.

The frog warned her, "You do realize that this wish will also make your husband the most handsome man in the world, an Adonis whom women will flock to".

The woman replied, "That's okay, because I will be the most beautiful woman and he will have eyes only for me."

So, KAZAM-she's the most beautiful Woman in the world!

For her second wish, she wanted to be the richest woman in the world.

The frog said, "That will make your husband the richest man in the world. And he will be ten times richer than you."

The woman said, "That's okay, because what's mine is his and what's his is mine."

So, KAZAM-she's the richest woman in the world!

The frog then inquired about her third wish, and she answered, "I'd like a mild heart attack."

Moral of the story: Women are clever. Don't mess with them.

How to score with Women!

Men prefer to stand back and see the "big picture" and make a smaller number of big contributions then be logged down with a series of what seem like smaller , less important ones.
For example, a man may not often present his partner with a gift but, when he does, he brings a big one. Women's brain, on the other hand, are organized for fine detail and they make a wider range of smaller decisions on the many intricate facets of a working relationship. A women will allocate one single point for every individual thing a partner does in the relationship regardless of size, and two or more points for an intimate act of love.

If a man buys his partner a single rose, for example , she'll give him one point. If he buys her a bunch of six roses he still only gets one point.But if he bought her one rose every week for six weeks, then he'd score six points. A single rose is clearly for her, whereas a bunch of roses could be perceived as being a decoration for the home. regular gifts of a single rose show she's always uppermost in his mind.

Similarly, if a man paints the house, he gets one point. If he picks up his dirty clothes or tells her he loves her, he also gets one point each, in other words, the points are given for the number of actions taken, not for the size, quality or outcome of a single action. if he buys her a car or the diamond ring of her dreams he'll certainly score additional points at that time. But 95% of all points awarded in a relationship are for everyday things that do or don't happen. It truly is the thought that counts with women.

Lies

During my younger days I was the biggest liar. Every word that came from my mouth was lies. Most of the time I created lies to save my ass from my father's cane. But soon I started to lie for fun. I didn't do my homework and would lie to my parents that I didn’t have any. I lied to my parents about my tuition teacher not feeling well for 2 week and I played truant. I was screwing up my life big time with my lies. Then a wakeup call came from the most unlikely person. My grandmother! Apparently my mother had complained to her about how I hurt her with my lies.

She scolded me so bad for more than an hour and she made me cry. I was 10 then and that was the first time I cried without the indolent of the cane. Her words were so painful. From the day on I decided not to lie. And my life changed course from being the idiot of the class I toped my class.

I cannot remember the little lies that I have said in between the time I was 11 and when I was 20. When I was 20 years old I entered the Singapore army. On the day that I was enlisted my mother cried, at the period of time the biggest news in Singapore was the death of a soldier during training. After the first week of training I felt like I was gonna die. The training was very hard, both physically and mentally. We were only allowed to go back home in the weekends and one of those weekdays my mother called to check on how I was coping. That was the time I had to say my first well justified lie. I was bleeding my hands from extensive blisters from doing chin-ups, the food was horrible, but to my mom I told her that the food great and the training were easy. She was relieved. I had to maintain the lie for the rest of my term in the army.

Now my younger brother just entered the army, and I have given him the advice to Lie. The lies I told when I was younger hurt my mother, the lies that I have to say when I am older made her happy.

So lies aren't bad at all. What matters is why we lie...if it’s for a good cause, by all means fire away!
